Website Design
Posted on 26th May 2008
At the time of writing, I have to admit I am not an expert website constructor. I think the way I structure websites is still somehow limited, but I am trying daily to keep my understanding of website design technology as up-to-date as possible.
Where I compensate for my shortfalls in the technical area are in the design of page layouts and various graphical elements to compliment the sites. The majority of my effort goes into designing page layouts that convey the message of the contents in clear, logical and aesthetically pleasing manners. As there are billions of websites out there of varying styles today, my aim is to produce well organised & professionally presented websites to my clients.
Please enjoy this small selection of website design projects I have worked on over the recent years.

Embracing A Flat World
Client : Bright Cloud Consulting
Project Type : Site Layout & Graphic Design
Date : Feb - Apr 2008
My friend Brendan (Bright Cloud Consulting) contacted me back in Feb to see if I was interested in working on graphics & layouts for a website for the School of Business at University of Redlands, CA, USA. This was the first time I had ever worked as a sub-contractor for a website design project, but it turned out to be a valuable & enjoyable experience - largely due to an excellent project management by Brendan.
The key feature of this site is the Travel Diary with 'Page-Turning' effect, which we had the technical support from Brendan's brother John (Montecito Graphics). It was truly a fantastic opportunity to work with the professionals!

Light to the Nations Ministries
Client : Giancarlo & Catherine Elia
Project Type : Site Design & Construction
Date : Aug - Sep 2007
During the Summer 2007, we had the privilege of spending a day with Giancarlo & Catherine, and it was then I found that they'd been wanting to update the design of their ministry website. They graciously gave me total freedom in re-designing the site, and after a lot of trial & error I managed to produce a site for the first time on the 'World Wide Web'. |
